My Story
Joshua Torbich is the CEO of Christian Recovery Centers, Inc. (CRCI) and a leading voice for faith‑based recovery and community transformation in the Carolinas. He serves as President of the Bluegrass District of Citygate Network and President of Bridge to 100, a North Carolina-based collaborative network expanding recovery access statewide. Josh holds a master’s degree in Education with concentrations in Business Management and Christian Leadership.

Under Josh’s leadership, CRCI has grown from a single-location program serving 12 individuals to a multi-campus organization providing no‑cost residential treatment, recovery, and re‑entry services to more than 200 people at a time. His innovative approach - integrating the strengths of faith and science - has helped thousands move from addiction and suffering into stability, purpose, and long‑term well‑being.

Josh’s passion for this work is deeply personal. In 2013, he found his own life unraveling under the weight of alcohol and heroin addiction. With no resources and nowhere to turn, he entered a free recovery program that became the turning point of his life. As a recovered opioid user and alcoholic, Josh brings lived experience, empathy, and authenticity to every space he leads.

With over a decade of experience, Josh has found deep meaning in building and designing people and systems from the ground up. He sees potential in what is not yet fully formed and approaches every difficulty as an opportunity to create something stronger, clearer, and more aligned with purpose. His leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that transformation happens when leaders confront reality with humility, embrace growth with intention, and build structures that support long‑term change. Whether coaching executives, developing teams, or shaping organizational culture, Josh helps leaders uncover what’s possible and step into the version of themselves their mission requires.

Beyond organizational leadership, Josh is a passionate advocate for youth prevention. He speaks regularly in middle and high schools across the region, partnering with educators to deliver substance use prevention programs that blend professional insight with lived experience. His school presentations help students understand risk, build resilience, and see hope long before addiction ever has a chance to take root.

Today, Josh is recognized as an expert in addiction recovery and is frequently invited to lead conversations at educational institutions, community forums, and professional development conferences. As an ordained minister, he can often be found preaching across the country, sharing a message of God’s goodness, hope, and restoration.

Josh has made it his life’s mission to reach people devastated by addiction and guide them toward freedom. Creating opportunities for others to experience hope, healing, and a future they never thought possible is what drives every part of his work.
